Tenders. ANNUAL CONTRACTS. Commissariat, Napier. Ist Januuary, 1869. npENDEES will be received at this Office X until Noon of THURSDAY, tho 21st instant, from persons willing to contract for furnishing the undermentioned supplies, in such quantities, at such times, and at such places within one mile of the Barracks at Napier aB may bo directed by the undersigned, or by his successor in office, during the twelve calendar months commencing the Ist of April next. HOSPITAL SUPPLIES. Meat Vegetables Dairy Produce Groceries and Oilmen's Stores Wines and Spirits Samples of the whole of the above supplie s must be left at tho Commissariat Office on or before the date of Bending tenders. No drawback of duty will be allowed ou any supplies. HOSPITAL SERVICES. Repairing Hair and Flax Bedding, &c. Washing and Eepairing Bedding, &c. &c. The Contractor will receive the articles at the Hospital, and will be held responsible for the delivery back thereof. Emptying Ashpits and Cesspools, per annum Sweeping Chimnies.and Flues, per annum, BAREACK SERVICES. Washing and Repairing Bedding. A list of the articles and full particulars may be obtained on application u to the Barrack Office Cleaning Cesspools and Ashpits, per annum Sweeping chimnies and Flues, per annum. Washing and Repairing Camp Equipage and Cap Covers. All bills for supplies or services for the Military Store, Engineer, Barrack, and Purveyor's Departments, must be forwarded to Head-quarters for the examination and signature of the head of the department, before payment will be made. Printed forms of Tender, and any further information that may bo required, will be afforded on application at this office, ! No Tender will be accepted unless on the printed form furnished from this office, and duly signed by the Contractor and two sure* ties. All bills will be paid in cash or cheque on a Bank, and no Treasury Bills will be given to Contractors in payment of accounts. Should the Troops bo withdrawn from New Zealand prior to or after the commencement of the oontraots, no compensation will be allowed to contractors for any loss they may sustain through being compelled to keep a supply on hand.
