Excelsior, barque, for London, early Ida Ziegler, ship, for London, loading Phoebe, s.s., for Aucklaud, Jan. 11 Wellington, s.s., for Wellington, Jan. 11 The barque Excelsior is fast filling up ; she has now on board over 1000 bales wool, aud is still taking it as fast as it can be stowed She will probably take 900 more, and is oxpeoted to leave for London about the 24th inst. The clipper ship Ida Ziegler completed the discharge of her inward cargo on Thursday last. She will load up with wool at once, aud is expected to be able to take 3000 bales. The paddle steamer Sturt, colonial gunboat, Captain Fairchild, arrived in harbor at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday last from Poverty Bay, with despatches. Captain Fairchild reports H.M.S. Blanche and the s.s. Ahuriri lying at Poverty Bay. The Sturfc left Poverty Bay at midnight on Wednesday, and had fair weather on the passage down. She lef b again at 9.30 same evening for Wairoa, to load horses for the colonial forces at Poverty Bay. The s.s. St. Kilda, Colonial Government gunboat, Captain Fox, arrived in the roadstead at 2 p.m. yesterday, from Wairoa, with Henare Tokomoaua and 150 friendly natives. She left Napier at 8 p.m. on Tuesday last, and arrived off Waiioa at midnight, but the weather being thick and threatening, stood to the southward till^daylight. The wind blowing from the south-westi, the sea increasing, and too much surf on the beach to communicate, at 7 a.m. she ran for Happy Jack's, amidst incessant rain, with tremendous claps, of thunder and vivid lightning. Anchored off Happy Jack's at 9 a.m., and heavy rain fell for nine hours afterwards. The Muriwai also arrived there and anchored. On Thursday forenoon the waather moderated, and at 3 p.m. weighed and proceeded for Wairoa, and anchored off there at 8.30 p.m. Left the schooner Muriwai at Happy Jack's, intending to leave that afternoon. At daylight commenced embarking native troops for Napier; weighed at 9 a.m., and stood for Mohaka. Sent boat ashore and informed the settlers there of the late fight at Ngatepa. Left Mohaka and arrived as above. Having landed the natives, she re-crossed the bar at slack water, in readiness to proceed to Wellington. Captain Fox reports the p.s. Sturt waiting at Wairoa for high water, to embark horses inside for Poverty Bay.
