Tenders. ANNUAL CONTRACTS. Commissariat, Napier. Ist Januuary, 1869, rJHENDERS will be received at this Office : X until Noon of THURSDAY, the 21 at 9 instant, from persons willing to contraot for furnishing. the; undermentioned supplies, in " such quantities, at such times, and at such places within one mile of the Barracks at Napier aa may be direoted by the undersigned, or by his successor in office, during £* the twelve calendar months commencing the Ist of April next. The Contractor will receive the articles at the Hospital, and will bo held responsible for the delivery back thereof. Emptying Ashpits and Cesspools, per annum Sweeping Chimnies.and Flueß, per annum. * BARRACK SERVICES. Washing and Repairing Bedding. A list of the articles and full particulars may be obtained on application B to the Barrack Office Cleaning Cesspools and Ashpits, per annum Sweeping chimnies and Flues, per annum. Washing and Repairing Camp Equipage and Cap Coverß. All bills for supplies or services for the Military Store, Engineer, Barrack,' and Purveyor's Departments, , must , be forwarded to Headio^uart^rsjforl'the examination and signature of- the head of thej department, before payment will be made. Printed forms of Tender, and any further information that may be required, will be afforded on application at thia office. No Tender will ba accepted unless on the printed form furnished "from this office, and duly signed by the Contractor and two Bure* ties. ' All bills will be paid in cash or cheque on a Bunk, and no Treasury Bills will be given to Contractors in payment of accounts. Should the Troops be withdrawn from New Zealand prior to or after the commencement of the contracts, no compensation will be allowed to contractors for any loss they may Bustain through^being compelled to keep a supply on hand. Articles lost or damaged when in possession of Contractor to be paid for. Printed forms of Tender, and any further * information that may be required, will be afforded on application at this office. No Tender will be accepted unless on the printed form furnished from this office, and duly signed by the Contractor and two sureties. Nor will any Form of Tender be issued after office hours of the day preceding the opening of tenders. All bills will be°paid in cash or cheque on a Bank, and no Treasury Bills will be given to Contractors in payment of accounts.
