AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Alfred Bxtckxahd's rpporfc for week ending September 25. - On Saturday last hay of all descriptions was better worth. There were no choice draught horses offored for sale, and other descriptions of horse stock were comparatively dull of sale. The buggies, omnibus, and harness sold freely, and full rates were obtained for them. At Remuora on Thursday was a very full market of stock. Good dairy cows brought from £12 to £14; medium, £9 to £10. Store cattle maintained previous values, particularly for grown steers, which brought from £Vi to £13 each. Fat cattle were more plentiful than for a considerable time; 129 head were sold to the butcher; prices ruled very equably throughout the sale at a decline in price of about 2s. 6it. the 1001 b., compared with last weok's market. The shipment of Whangauui cattle were, relative to those sold last week, 40s. per head cheaper ; they averaged £13 to £15. Long-woolled ewe hoggets, with lambs at side, brought 275. ; merino ewes, with half- bred lambs, IBs. 6d. each; halfbred store withers from 17s. 6d. to 19s. 8d. each; the wethers ex Wanganui brought from 19s. 6d. to 345. each, averaging 23>*.5Hveil-fattenPd Jong.woolled wethers, Auckland-fatted', brought from 28s. to 405.; merino weihurs, 14s, A large supply of fat lambs, 83 in number, met with a steady sale, best quality varying from 15s. to 225., second quality from 9s. to 12s. 6d. Figs, either fat or store, were in request, and very few penned ; extreme prices were obtained for those;— this description of stuck is at an higher price per pound than any other.
