Chronic Ulcers and Sores peculiar to India, and their Cure. There are certain countries in which both European and native residents are subject to attacks -of very painful, and (under ordinary treatment) intractable superficial ulcers, which make their appearance on various parts of the body. Medical men have not been successful in treating this troublesome disease, because they have not diligently studied it, ,and so have not ascertained its cause. Professor Holloway, whose agents are in every part of the world, civilised and uncivilised, collecting facts respecting disease, and distributing his unrivalled remedies for the relief of suffering humanity, have ascertained that there are several countries where these chronic ulcers are peculiarly prevalent, more especially Central India j and that in every country it depends upon the same causeviz., the introduction into the system of a poisonous matter, which, acting on the blood, renders it thin, watery, and incapable of nourishing the whole body —hence the ulcers, which are plainly the death of certain parts of the body— generally the most distant from the centre of circulation. All that is required to remedy this disease, which, if neglected, will be the forerunner of more serious affections, is to be carefully temperate in food and drink ; and to use Holloway's Pills and Ointment ; the latter acts locally, setting up healthy action in the wounds, and the former goes to the root of the mischief, and by stimulating the excreting organs of the body, speedily removes the poison from the system, at the same time, by lessening the watery parts of the blood, it improves its quality, and restores health and vigour to the mind and body. Childless, or a long lineal Succession. When climates, pleasures, or abuses have enervated and debilitated the human frame, this fine tonic medicine will revive the springs of life by giving tone to the nerves and firmness to the ' muscles. General and local weakness and impotency are gradually dispelled, if the Pills be taken in doses sufficient to produce, daily, one gentle evacuation. Moderate exercise in the fresh air, a generous, though not a stimulating, diet, abundant ablution of the body with cold water, and thoroughly drying thereafter, will render the most dejected being a hopeful man once more, and prompt him to the fulfilment of all marital duties. If the warm bath be used it should not be taken oftener than «very fifteenth day. and no longer than three minutes, as it exerts a relaxing effect on the system. The Ointment, rubbed. on the small of the. back, and likewise on the abdomen of females, suffering from functional irregularity, or organic feebleness, will greatly assist the restorative powers. Eruptions of the Skin peculiar to the climate of India, and their Cure. Nearly all skin diseases indicate a depravity of the blood and a derangement of the liver and stomach. By a proper use of Holloway's Pills the blood will soon be restored to healthy action, the result being a perfect restoration to health, and if the Ointment be well rubbed into the parts affected after bathing the same twice a day with warm water, skin diseases of the most inveterate kind will be radically cured. Sore Throats, arising from various causes, and their Cure. In the most virulent stages of ■ disorders of the throat Holloway's Ointment will, if well rubbed in three or four times in the day, as well as into the chest, remove all ailments affecting these vital parts. The palm of victory has with one voice been awarded to this grand remedy as an antidote for all such dangerous complaints. The Pills should likewise be taken to reduce inflammation, which necessarily arises from sore throat. Derangement of the Kidneys, and its Remedy. If the Ointment be well rubbed over the small of the back, at least once a day, as salt is forced into meat, it will penetrate the kidneys, and correct any derangement. But should it be stone or gravel, then the Ointment should also be rubbed into the neck of the bladder, and a few days will convince the sufferer that the effeot of the remedy is truly miraculous. The Pills to be used according to printed directions.
