The Salmon in Tasmania. — "Information has been received in town," says the Hobart Town Mercury, " to the effect that salmon have been seen in the Ouse river. The information is of the most reliable kind, and reports two fish as having been seen spawning. Mr. Morton Allport and other gentlemen have proceeded to the locality, with a determination to capture one of the fish, if possible, and to set at rest all doubts as to the absolute success of the experiment."
