Ahuriri, s.s., for Wellington, this day at 5 p,m. Lord Ashley, s.s., for Wellington and Southern ports, 15th instant Star of the South, s.s., for Auckland, 2nd instant ■ ' —

The s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain Worsp, loft Wellington at 11*80 p.m. on Friday last, with fine weather, which she carried throughout, and arrived in the roadstead at 1-30 p.m. on Saturday. The Lord Ashley steamed for Auckland the same afternoon at 6. The h.B. Star of the South, that entered the Pot at 4 a.m. on Sunday last, left Auokland on Thursday at 9 p.m. ; rounded the East Cape at midnight on Friday, and arrived as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout the passage. The B.s. Wellington, Captain Holmes, left Auckland on Friday last at 2-30 p.m.. and arrived at Kawau Island at 4 p.m., whore Sir George Grey and suite were embarked ; got under weigh at 7 p.m., and arrived at Tauranga at 7 next morning ; left again at 915 a.m., and arrived at the anchorage in the roadstead at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Wellington steamed for Wellington and Southern ports at 3 p.m. yesterday. The Hero, sohooner, left Wairoa at 8 a.m. on Sunday last, and arrived in the roadstead at 3 p.m. the same day, bringing a small quantity of luggage and produce. /The s.s. Ahuriri left Auckland at 4 p.m. on Saturday last ; rounded East Cape at 3 p.m. on Sunday, arriving in the roadstead at 830 a.m. on Monday. She will take her departure for Wellington this afternoon at 5. The schooner E. and U. Cameron left Lyttelton at noon on the 24th instant, with a strong S.W. gale, which lasted until Wednesday, when the gale moderated to very light weather, lasting throughout the voyage. Arrived in the Pot at noon on Saturday last. The E. and U. Cameron brings a full cargo, principally ex Coleroon, from London.

The schooner Tawera, Capt. Kennedy, arrived in harbour yesterday morning from Poverty Bay, having brought 19 head of cattle, consigned to Mr. A. Bucklimd, which she landnd at Kohimarama the previous evening. She also brings the following passengers : — Mr. and Mrs. Field, and family (4), Mrs. Forbes and family (4), Mrs. Rice, Mr. and Master Foot, Messrs. Thompson (2), Mr. Sleghalfc, Mr. Shirley, Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Mae.kay, Mr. Bullock, 1 native prisoner, Miss Munn, Messrs. Adams, T. Baxter, 0. Rice, sen., Alexander Robb, and Bell. The Tawera left Poverty Bay on Friday last, the 21st instant.— Southern Cross, August 28. H.M.S.S. Rosario, Capt. Palmer, returned from the Bay of Islands yesterday afternoon, having taken in a supply or coals. Shu left Russell on Monday last and on Tuesday evening called at the Kawau. leaving there again yesterday morning. Capt. Holt is a passenger by her from the Kawau. Sir George Grey was also expected up in the Rosario, that vessel having been placed at his disposal by the Governor Sir G. Bowen.
