Arrived at Wangawebi'on the 9th, and landed 24 empty oil casks and a quantity of timber and shingles. Left for Napier the same evening — wind at the time being N. N.E. Wind failed that night, and on Tuesday came on to blow from the S.E. Han down in sight of Ahuriri Blufi', and hove-to, being too late for the tide. That night blew a gale of wind, with heavy sea. Next morning, off the Old Man's Bluff, wind went round to the southward ; ran back to Wangawehi for shelter. Left again on Thursday niffht— wind light and variable. On Friday, wind light from the eastward. Arrived in the roadstead at 4 a.m. ou Saturday last, and entered the Iron Pot at noon. The Wellington, Holmes, left Wellington on Saturday last, with a strong south-east wind, which lasted throughout the passage. Arrived in tho roadstead at 11 a.m. on Sunday, The Welliiigton'brings a cargo of 60 tons of merchandise fpr this port. She left again for Auckland at 2 p.m. yesterday, carrying 200 sheep for that port. The Lord Ashley took her departure for Welling, ton and Southern ports on Saturday last, at 1 p.m.
