Bore up for Cook's Bay, where shelter was taken. On the 18th, the weather having moderated, again put to . sea. Arrived in tho Pot at 8 a.vi. oh Sunday last. ] The schooner Huntress left Russell, Bay of Islands, ou the Bth instant, with fine north-east weather, which lasted until tho 11th, when, off Cape Runaway, a gale from the same quarter was encountered ; hove the vessel to for 13 hours, during which time the bulwarks were stove in, and the winch and galley carried away. On the 12th instant, tho weather having moderated, proceeded on the voyage, experiencing light favorable winds until tho 15th, when another north-east gale was mot with, and, in consequence, she took shelter under Long Point, remaining thero until Wednesday last. Upon sighting tho Blutf, the wind changed to a heavy southerly gale, accompanied hy rain squalls, so again bore up for Long Point, remaining there until Friday last, when she again got under weigh and arrived in the Pot on Sunday evening. The Saucy Lass; schooner, bound for Auckland ; aud Agnes, cutter, for Poverty Bay, took their departure on Sunday, The brig Maggie, bound for Sydney, cleared out of the Pot yesterday morning, preparatory to her final departure. The s.s. Wellington will be due from Wellington and Southern ports to-morrow, and will proceed to Auckland on Thursday.
