THE TELEGRAPH COMMISSIONER-, is prepared to. reoeive tenders for.; the supply and delivery of one thousand (1000) poles, more or less, for a line of Telegraph to , be constructed between Napier (commencing at the North Spit) and Wairoa, both in the Province of Hawke's Bay. • „ . A few twenty-five (25) feet long, eight (8) inches square at the butt, and six (6) inohes squai'e at the top. The major portion to he twenty (20) feet long, eight (8) inches square at the butt, and six (6) inches square at the top. The poles to be sound- straight, and free from sap. . !'.', N.8.~N0 poles will be acoepted that. contain the least sap. : ' The poles to be delivered at points and distances hereafter to be indicated along the present bridle track from Napier to Wairoa. Tenders are to specify the pride per pole as per sizes given. Eaoh tender must be aocompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds (£25) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited should any tenderer refuse to sign, the contract in the event of his tender being accepted.
