THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive .tenders for the erection and maintenance of a line of telegraph between Tenui Valley, in the Province of Wellington, and Porangahau, in the Province of Hawke's Bay. Tenders to state separately the price per mile for erection, and the price for the maintenance of the line for twelve calendar months, Eaoh tender must be accompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds Bterling as a guarantee of good faith, which deposit will be forfeited by any tenderer if, in the event of his tender being accepted, he refuse to take up the contract. Each tender must include the names of two sureties for approval, who are willing to become bond for the due performance of the work in the event of the tender being accepted, and must be accompanied by a notification to that effect signed by tho sureties. Specifications can be seen, and all information obtained, at the Telegraph Office, Wellington, or at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Napier.
