LOST, from Kaikora, on the night of the Ist January, a BAY MARE, with black points, branded RAU on off shoulder, followed by a Foal having a white face and white hind legs. The Mare had on a new pig-skin saddle and new head-stall bridle, and was last seen about Te Aute gate, without saddle or bridle. £2 will be given for the Mare and Foal, and £3 for the saddle j but if not returned within ten days from this date, £5 will be given for the apprehension of the party who may have stolen it.
