THE TELEGRAPH COMMISSIONER is prepared to receive tenders for the erectiod and maintenance of a Line of Telegraph between Napier and Porangahau, both in the Province of Hawke's Bay. Tenders to state separately the prioe per mile for erection, and the price for the maintenance of the line for twelve calendar months. Every -..tender mu-t , be., accompanied by a deposit of twenty-five pounds sterling as a guarantee of good faith, which deposit will be forfeited by any tenderer if, in tho event of his tender being accepted, ho refuses to take up the contract. Each tender must include the names of two sureties for approval, who are willing to become bound for the due performance of the work in the event of the tender being accepted. Tenders to state the price per chain for each work separately. Specifications can be seen, and full information as to locality, &c, can be obtained at the ofiice of the Telegraph Engineer, Wellington, and at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Napier, and likewise at Mr. Hudson's, Eperaima.
