PROJECTED DEPARTURES.
Glimpse, cutter, for Hokitika, early Dolphin, outter, for Wairoa 2nd mst, Lord Ashley, s.s., for Tauranga and Auckland on 3rd August The cutter Dolphin left port on the 23rd ult., and arrived .^^Blackhead next day, but, owing to a strong southerly wind whioh then sprung up, was obliged to run baok to Tungaru for shelter. Left there on Thursday and oame to an anohor off Blaokhead next (Friday) morning. Discharged cargo, and took on board a steam engine, leaving early on Saturday morning with a boat in tow. In consequetfoe of strong head winds, was obliged to beat up the whole of the passage, arriving in port. at 4 p.m, on the afternoon of Tuesday last, The cutter Miranda left Auokland on the 16th July, arriving at Oman next morning, where she took in a cargo of firewood. Left same day ; when off Kawa Kawa, in consequence of southerly weather, put in to that roadstead, and remained there until Sunday last, when she again put to sea, arriving in port on Tuesday afternoon. The s.s. Taranaki left Auckland at 5 p.m. on the 29th ult., with moderate weather, and arrived at Tauranga next morning at daylight. Left at 11 a.m. Outside, encountered a heavy gale from N.E., which lasted till the 31st, when the wind ohopped round to N.W., and continued so the rest of the voyage. The Taranaki, when well in the Bay, hove-to at I a.m. on Thursday morning (owing to the thickness of the weather), waiting" until daylight, when she steamed to her anchorage in the roadstead, arriving at half-past 7. She proceeded to Wellington the sam§ afternoon, carrying the English Panama mail. The Star of the South, s,s„ was advertised to leave Auokland on Tuesday last, so may be expeoted here hourly. The sohooner Murewai, Capt. Harris, left port yesterday morning for Poverty Bay, with a full general cargo and several passengers. The Lord Ashley, s.s., due yesterday at noon, had not made her appearance at a late hour last evening.
