DOMESTIC. London, May 27. The Australian March mail was delivered in London on the 14th and 19th of May. The Queen is residing in Scotland, and is in good health. She has laid the foun-dation-stone of a Hall of Arts and Sciences, in memory of Prince Albert. The Prince of Wales has been enthusiastically received in Paris. The Princess of Wales is recovering. The Duke of Edinburgh has joined the Galatea at Marseilles, en route to Australia via Madeira, Rio Janeiro, and the Cape of Good Hope. Mr. Lowe has delivered a masterly speech denouncing recent legislation as tending to socialism. Mr. Mill has also delivered an able speech in favour of the admission of women to the franchise. His motion was lost by a large majority. The main features of the Irish Reform Bill are a £4 franchise in boroughs, and £8 in counties, with voting papers. The Scotch Bill of Reform is opposed by a majority of the Scotch members, who support the borough franchise and a redistribution scheme. The Oaks was won by Hippia. There was a dead heat between Achievement and Romping Girl for the second place. The championship race of the Thames and Tyne, between Chambers and Kelly, j was won easily by Kelly. Terrible accidents occurred after the race.
