Artesian Wells— Another Failure. — We regret to -have to record that each successive attempt at boring in the town of Napier has proved unsuccessful. On the White Eoad, two attempts were made, but in each case the pipe bent at a depth of 59 feet, upon meeting what appeared to be a bed of boulders. Another effort was made yesterday in Olive Square, but the result was the same, at a depth of 27 feet. Another attempt will be made this day, on the beach at the back of Morton's Hotel— between the two lagoons.
