LETTER FROM MR. PETERS, OF COBB & CO. Napiee, June 21, 1867. Sic. — I beg to propose, on behalf of the firm of Cobb & Co., of Wellington, to open up a weekly communication between the City of Wellington, in the Wellington province, and the Town of Napier, in the Hawke's Bay province ; by coaches, to carry mails and passengers, so far as coaches can go ; and the remainder of the road, for about 30 miles, by relays of saddle horses until such time as the road is made. For a subsidy of one thousand pounds per annum for three years. Also, to run coaches three times a week to Waipawa and back. Monetary arrangements we will leave to your own consideration.
