IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections A ot, 1858," I, Samuel Deighton, the Returning Officer for the Electoral Distriot of Wairoa, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the seventh day of February, 1867, issued under the hand of His Excel* lenoy the Governor and the seal of the Colony of New Zealand, an election will be held for the return of one duly qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Counoil of the Province of Hawke's Bay for the said Electoral District} and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Court House, Clyde, Wairoa, on WEDNESDAY the twentieth day of Maroh next, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on THURSDAY the twenty-first day of March next, and that I will declare the result of the poll at the close thereof.
