She called at Tauranga on her way down, and reports that the disturbed state of the country there has been very much exaggerated. The object of the Brisks visit to this port was to convey the Governor to Canterbury, but finding his Excellency had already proceeded thither, she left at 11 o'clock the same morning for Lyttelton.
