TTNTIL further provision be made in that U behalf, Certificates of Exemption from Pilotage under the IGth Section of " The Marine Act, 18G6," will be issued on application to the Marino Department, Wellington ; or, to the Collectors of Customs at Auckland, Napier, Now Plymouth, Nelson, Lyttelton, Hokitika, Dunedin, and the Bluff. Every person making application for any such Certificate must furnish a certificate from the Harbour Master or principal Nautical Officer of the Port or Ports in respect of which the exemption is claimed, that such person is qualified to conduct and navigate his vessel into and out of such Port or Ports, and must also state the name of tho vessel commanded by him. The distinguishing flag to be hoisted by vessels exempted from Pilotage is a White Flag. J. M. BALFOUR, Marine Engineer.
