Business keeps quiet, but a fair, legitimate trade is being done. The recent sales by auction having forced poods of various descriptions, has not hnd a benpflcial effect. The Sunbeam has commenced loading wool for London, and the Strathallan is now fully due. The great article of export lias not yefc made its appearance in any quantity, but within the next fourteen days the stores will begin to fill, and more business will be done. The only transaction we hear of in land, is a sale by Mr. John Stuart of a section in the Tukuwaru Bush, Patangala, at £6 15s. per aero. At Mr. V. At Mr. Janisch's sale, on the 23rd instant, the attendauco of buyers was largo, and the bidding spirited.
