London, 6th October. Dhollera cotton is quoted one half penny dearer; stocks 230,000 bales, with a fair demand. 12th October. The bank, rate of discount is 7 per cent., and is likely to go higher. Russia and England have signed a new treaty of commerce. The latest advices from America state no rupture either with England or France on the Mexican question, or Mexico itself, is anticipated. In the wool sales there is an improvement, with an advance of Id to 1-^ on good combing wool ; to Id on medium to good. Burra burra copper is quoted at £90 per tonJ
