Wb have to report the following sales by auotion this week, by Mr. John Stuart. On Wednesday, all the property belonging to the estate of James Doherty was sold at the following prices :— The shop in Hastings-street realised £400, and the Shakespeare Bakery £30. The properties are leasehold, the former having 18 years, and the latter 9 years to run, and both being burdened with a ground rent of £20 per annum. 10 shares of the New Zealand Steam Navigation Company (paid up in full), brought £3 15 0 to £4 5 0 per share. On Thursday, in the estate of Frederick Dyett, at Clive, very little waa disposed of, the salo having been postponed to another opportunity, owing to some diffloulty having arisen. The building known as Dyett's Old Hotel, sold for £30, inoluding the quarter acre on whioh it stands. The Maori .lease of about 200 acres brought £15, the fenoing to be taken at a valuation.
