The Lady Bird, Capt. Renner, arrived this morning at 6 o'clock, having called at Hicks' Bay and Poverty Bay, remaining two days at the latter port. She brings no news of interest. Beyond the family of the Rev. S. Williams, no passengers have come from the coast — the Bishop having decided upon remaining. A party of Hau Hau natives was in the neighborhood of Poverty Bay, but nothing had been heard of the party from Opotiki or of their uufortunate prisoners. We learn that, for the safety of the settlers, a vessel will be stationed in Poverty Bay. The Lady Bird proceeds to Wellington this afternoon.
