Mr. Danvees reports the sale at Mr. Cheyne's, on the Tutaekuri, on Tuesday last, to have passed off very satisfactorily. The cattle were greatly, admired, and realised high prices. Fine dairy cows in milk fetched , from £9 10s. to £14— average £11 14s. 6d. ; heifers carry- * ing first calf, from £6 6s to £10 ; steers under two years, ■ £4 15s to £5 ss ; S calves were sold for £9; the black mare was knocked down at £89; flock of mixed sheep, £66. Furniture and household effects all realised very satisfactory prices.
