Superintendent's Office, Napier, Oct. 31, 1860. rPENDERS will be received at this office up to X SATURDAY, Bth December, at noon, from, persons desirous of renting the Waipureku Ferry, for the year 1860. The Ferry Punt will be kept in constant repair by the Provincial G-overnment. The Ferryman will be required to bejinattendanca from Sunrise to Sunset throughout "the year, and will be authorised to collect toils according to the present scale, viz. : — Bullock drays, each way 2s. 6d. 2 or 3 horse do. " Is. 6d. 1 horse dray or cart M Is. Od, Man and horse " 6d. Foot passengers " 3d. Cattle, per head " ]£d. Sheep, " " id, Gt-overnment Officers on Public Service, Mail Carriers, Police, Survey & Road Labourers ... Free Parties tendering mast state the rent they ar© willing to pay for the Ferry House and Punt, and .must name two responsible persons as Sureties, who will be prepared to enter into a joint bond for £200 for the due performance of the duties required, and for the delivery of the Ferry House and Punt at the end of the term.
