At the land sale held by Mr. J. A. Smith on Tuesday last, the attendance' was very large and tho bidding spirited. The new (private) township of Hadley, on the Waipaw.a,, consisting of 80 £,acre sections was all sold at £18, £13, £1O,: £7 105,,. and £2 each lot. A lot of 50 acres at the head.of' i the Tutaekuri river was sold @ 355. per acre; - Se-' veral town, lots also quitted hands—2 sections in;; . Emmerson street sold at £2 2s. per foot, and 1 at» £2; 2in Dickens street at 355. per foot. Im. Tennyson street was knocked down at £2 12s. 6d. per foot; and two in Chaucer road (nearly i acre each) at £31 and £32 the lot respectively..
