ELTHAM PING PONG MATCH
DRUIDS’ LODGE DEFEATED (From Our Own Correspondent) Biembers of the Eltham Druids’ Lodge on Tuesday night met the Eltham Badminton Club in a ping pong and card tournament. The club was successful in both • double and singles games, but was defeated in' the card section. Results were as follow, .the names of the Druids’ players being mentioned first:— Doubles.—Glentworth and Bridger lost to Gibson and Blorrison (21—18): Blorton and Paton lost to Whiting and Townsend (21 —15); Carter and Hilmer beat Peebles and Young (21 —15); Paton and Cowell beat Craig and Haswell (21 —18); Vincent and Chalmers lost to Blaekstock and Gibson (21 —11); Drabble and Sheppard lost to Blorrison and l oung (21 —19): Badminton Club, 4 games j Druids, 2 games.
Singles beat Whiting (21— 15); Paton lost to Townsend (21 —20); Vincent lost to Blaekstock (21 —11); Cowell beat Craig (21—‘18); Bourke lost to Carter (21 —11); Drabble lost to Ritter (21 —18); Carter beat Young (21—15); Hilmer beat Peebles (21- — 15); Glentworth lost to Gibson (21 — 20) ; , Sheppard beat Taylor (21 —16): Chalmers losfc to Gibson (21 —12). At cards the Druids were successful by 10 games to 6,
