HUNT FIXTURE TOMORROW PROSPECTS OF CANDIDATES . GUIDE FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. (Ey “Childers.”) To-morrow the Pakuranga-Hunt Club will hold its annual fixture at Ellerslie, it being one of the most important hunt fixtures 'in the Dominion. Taranaki racegoers will be particularly interested in to-morrow’s racing, for several of the candidates are.also engaged at the combined hunt meeting at New Plymouth next week and light should be thrown on their prospects. The single pool system of betting will be in use. GREENMOUNT HUNTERS’ STEEPLECHASE. Of £IOO. About-two miles and a-half. Ardmanningr 10 i banner 9 0 Zane Grey 9 12 Parkhurst 9 0 Gascille 9 S.King. Rod 9 0 Semi-Arch 9 0 Beechworth s- 9 0 Ardmanning was second m this race last, year and, as he ran well at the Northern fixture, must be respected here. Zanc Grey is a fair sort, but has raced for a, long while now without winning. Gascille iS improving steadily, but few of the others appeal, although the Beechworth gelding comes from a strong stable and must be respected. Favourites should be ARDMANNING and GASCILLE.

Silver Briar raced well at Ellerslie in June and should make-her presence felt, despite her weight. Mazir and Square Acre may. need a race,/but Salesman;-Landlubber and TCilberis are useful. The last-mentioned showed exceedingly smart form on the East'Coast circuit. Gay Defence will probably be favourite, for he is one of tiio most promising- hacks in: thoinorth. Racing Lady, Air Lassie and Armacourt look' the best of the others. Bettors; may prefer GAY DEFENCE, KILBERIS and LANDLUBBER. ’ ' ' '
