Drawing Room Recital
one=Act Plays Presented A drawing-room recital arranged by Airs W. G. Simpson to augument the funds of the Hawera Croquet Club was held in Aliss Stock’s studio on Tuesday evening. Three one-act plays Were presented and Mrs A. J- Corrigan and Air W. G. Simpson read a selection from “The School for Scandal.”
The plays were “A Alai’riage Has Been Arranged,” presented by Airs Corrigan and Mr Simpson, “World Without Alen,” Airs Villars, Mrs Velvin, Airs Walker, Alisses O. Harding, P. Alorris and Johnson, “Cat’s Claws,” Mrs Villars, Airs Muir and Miss D. Thomas.
Supper was served, and Mrs W. G. Strange, president of the croquet club, thanked Mrs Simpson for the very successful and enjoyable function she had arranged.
