Sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr J. R. Corrigan was expressed at the annual meeting of the Kakaramea Dairy Company last week.
Mi* A. Pearce was appointed deputychairman of the Patea Harbour Board at a meeting yesterday. The suggestion that a deputy-chairman should be appointed was made by the chairman, Mr A. T. Christensen, who considered that -All* Pearce as senior member should fill the position.
Dr. W. P. P. Cordon, Stratford, will be a passenger by to-night’s express for Auckland, where ho will join the Mariposa on route for Sydney. After visiting relatives in New South Wales. Dr. Cordon will attend the annual conference, of the British Medical Association, which is being held this year at Melbourne. At the annual meeting of the Norman by Co-op. Dairy Company yesterday regret was expressed by the chairman (Mr A. Thrush) at the death during tjie Tear of Air J. R,. Corrigan. Mr Thrush said that the late Mr Corrigan had been a supplier of the company and had risen to be one of the leaders of the dairy industry. A motion of sympathy with the relatives was carried in silence.
