TARANAKI FRIESIAN BREEDERS
ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING The Taranaki branch of the New Zealand Friesian Breeders’ Association decided at its annual meeting to introduce a scheme of classification in the new year. The balance sheet pre-. sented showed a surplus of £9 18s 8d on the year’s working.
The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. C. A. Marchant; executive, Messrs. C. A. Marchant, H. J. Marchant, A. H. R. Amess, tt. E. Johnson, T. H. Richards, A. J. Smart and W. K. Morris; auditor, Mr. A. H. R. Amess; secretary, Mr. W. F. Ross. The general committee, will be the same as last year. Judges for the coming shows were appointed as follow: Stratford, Mr. A. O. Cadwallader; New Plymouth, Mr. W. A. Kyle; Egmont, Mr. A. E. Burgess.
Messrs. A. J. Smart (Tikorangi) and W. K. Morris (Oakura) were added to the New Zealand Association’s list of judges. Congratulations were extended to Mr. H. E. Johnson on his appointment as president of the New Zealand Friesian Breeders’ Association; and Mr. C. A. Marchant on an appointment to the Dairy Board. It was decided to give £2 2s each to the Stratford and Egmont A. and P. Associations and £3 3s to the New Plymouth jubilee show funds.
