Laughton’s New Film.
Charles Eaughton's first picture tor Alexander Korda this summer will’ ue a screen version of Rostand’s- famous “Cyrano de Bergerac.” Cyrano was soldier, poet, duellist, philosopher, the very soul of chivalry and romance; but afflicted with such a terrible nose that no one would take him seriously. The English version of the play will be written in rhymed couplets. Air lvorda, who will direct the picture, plans to use it as a “feeler” for public opinion; if it is. successful, lie may carry out a long-cherished plan of bringing Shakespeare plays in the original to the screen.
