Missing ’Plane Seen North of Kereru on Sunday Morning NEW AREA TO BE COMBED FOOT PARTIES WITHDRAWN (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WAIPUKURAU, To-day. The aeroplane base established 1 at Takapau on Monday is now being removed to a point between Kereru and Hastings, while the search parties on foot are being withdrawn from the are& between Norsewood and the sawmill at Wakarara, the missing ’plane having been seen north of Kereru after 11 ojelock on Sunday morning: The operations therefore will extend along the other "side of the Wakarara and Ruahine ranges. The weather is very cold, with steady misty rain falling since last night. With steady rain falling, flying conditions are very bad and the hills round Rangiwahia are hooded with mist and cloud. The Manawatu Aero Club’s two ’planes were prevented from setting out this morning to search the western slopes of tne Kuahines. The pilots intend to start immediately suitable conditions prevail.
