FERTILISER SUBSIDY
EXPIRATION TO-MORROW. NEGOTIATIONS FOR RENEWAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 27. At the end of June last year the Government granted a subsidy of 2s 6d a ton to manufacturers of fertiliser, conditional on the selling price of superphosphates not exceeding £-1 a ton. I'he subsidy expires on Saturday next and those interested in the fertiliser business are negotiating with the Minister of Agriculture regarding tlio renewal of the subsidy.
The Government’s decision willjirobably be made at the end of the week.
