East Tamaki Farmer Dies in Auckland Hospital REASON FOR TRAGEDY? (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, To-day. After lingering for four days with a bullet wound in his head, Peter Hobson, aged 40, of East Tamaki, died :t> the hospital this morning. Hobson was shot last Sunday morning by his son, Peter, aged 18, who afterwards shot himself dead with the same pea rifle. The tragedy is believed to bo the outcome, of domestic differences. The wife had been living apart from- her husband for about a year‘and recent ly she petitioned for a divorce but failed. and according to her evidence at the preliminary inquest, this preyed on her sons’s mind.
