PETERSEN THROWS IN TOWEL

At the Wembley Stadium 50,000 spectators saw Petersen’s towel thrown in at the end of the tenth round against Neusell. Neusell dominated the attack from the start, despite‘Petersen’s. clever scoring with both hands. Petersen’s left eyebrow was cut in the first round. Thereafter he needed constant attention and his right cheek •was cut in the fourth round. Neusell shook Petersen in the tenth with a powerful hook. Another left hurled Petersen to the ropes, where a right put him almost out on his feet. Taking another heavy right, Petersen was about to fall on his face as the ronnd ended, after which Penrvn threw in the towel. Neusell was 2llb the heavier.
