There had been considerable comment in Eltham concerning- an alleged delay occasioned by the Hawera hospital ambulance in attending a man who collapsed at a football match at Eltham last Thursday, said Mr I. .T. Bridger at a meeting of the Hawera Hospital Board this morning. A brief discussion ensued and it was revealed by the entry book that the call had been received at 3.d0 p.m., the driver being back at the hospital with the patient within the hour.
