PLUNKET MEDAL FOR ORATORY

FIRST MAORI WINNER,. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 16. Mr Iv. G. Tahiwi, speaking on Henry VIII, won the Victoria University College Plunket Medal for an oratory contest. In presenting the trophy Mr H. F. O’Leary, K.C., remarked that it was the first time a representative of the Maori race had won the medal.
