WAVERLEY TOWN BOARD

MONTHLY .MEETIN'fi. (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of the Waverloy Town Hoard was held on Thursday night, when those present were Messrs W. Hcginbotham (chairman), S'. Bromilev and .T. >T. .Johnston. Apologies were Veceived from Messrs W. Wicks and F. It. Jeffery. The clerk reported that the balance of accounts stood as follows: General account, £223 17s od; interest account, £279 19s- lid; -separate account, £4l 3s Bd.' Correspondence was received and dealt with from the Statistics Office, licensing authorities, Woodvill.e Domain Board! and Treasury, with reference to the conversion of loans. Mr F. Christensen waited upon the hoard with reference to having the

road metalled from his gate to Swinburne Street. The hoard granted £8 towards the eost of this work. Accounts amounting to £39 19s 3d were passed for payment. The same board sat as the Waverley Domain Board, when accounts showed a credit balance of £l3 17 ; s 7d, and accounts amounting to £l2 Is were passed for payment.
