OFFICIAL OPENING The official opening of the olui> was hold on Friday. There was a snJenrid attendance of players and spectators including visitors from New Plymouth and Hnwera. \ After the official Welcome Mr Townsend declared the court open for jplay. Mr Coll in ge gave a short address on badminton, giving an insight into the finer points of the game. Following this, the visitors gaw a doubles exhibition. Mr R. Syme tihen gave a stroke display, and with Mr Collinge treated the audience to a fine singles game. Elthnni players then took the court and tfie visitors ably assisted in pointing out errors in the -play.
