At a meeting of the Hawera Jersey Cattle Club executive on Friday, Mr C. H. Washer presiding, it was decided to make the usual donation of £lO to the Egmont A. and P. Association’s Spring Show this year to be allocated to the same class as hitherto. It was also decided to make an additional donation of £2 to the aged bull class, which will make the prize money in this class £4, £2 and £1 for first, second and third prizes respectively.

A statement of accounts in connection with the demonstration at Mr F. Hoskin’s farm at Matapu was presented by the secretary (Mr R, M.c-Oay). A motion conveying the thanks of the club to Mr Hoskin for the arrangements made was recorded on the minutes.

it was recommended for the consideration of the annual meeting that •future sales under the club’s auspices ■be held on the showgrounds.

Messrs E. A. Washer and W. R. Butler were appointed an inspection com mittec.

The date of the annual meeting; was fixed for Tuesday, July 10, in the evening, and the bull fair for Wednesday, October 2. The auctioneers for the latter event will be from the Farmers’ Co-op., Newton King’s and the Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. in conjunction.
