Hawera Club Dance

For tlie Hawera Benedicts’ Club dance, the iirst of the 193.5 season, held in the Eeiva lounge last Friday evening, there was a good attendance. Music was supplied by Xewton Mitchell’s Dance Band, and during the evening an exhibition of the tango was given 'by Miss Marjorie McLaughlin and partner. Extras were played by Mesdames Dulfill and Yeale. Those present included Mesdames P. O. Yeale, who wore black court crepe, relieved with white and diamante; A. J. Corrigan, steel patterned lame basqued blouse and black skirt; H. D. Cameron, black taffeta, with gold lattice pattern; J. C. Robb, twilight blue and lace and georgette; J. B. Rowe, floral not in autumn shades; AV. AV. Thomas, deep claret silk faille; T. C. Hobbs black eire satin and lace; E. H. Giblin, forquoise blue sprigged georgette over satin; T. B. Overton, gold lame blouse and deep plum panne velvet skirt; Gosnell, prune coloured spotted taffeta; H. G. Whitehead, black floral chenille georgette and mariette; Thomson, hydrangea blue satin; H. M. Caselberg, black panne velvet relieved' with white fur; E. M. Bardsley, pale jade green satin; R. R. Henderson, deep tomato crepe- suede; H. AV. Swinburn, patterned tinsel in shades of green, gold and rust, with black velvet skirt; E. R. Bavin, tunic frock with patterned cyclamen and silver tinsel and deep violet mariette; AY. G. Simpson, black shirred net and lace; A. Bonetti, brown and orange figured frock, banded in brown; AV. Syme, marsh brown silk lace; J. Robertson, deep ruby red panne velvet; G. L.
