BALANCING MATCHES. Ask someone to try to balance two matches with the head of one standing upon the head of the other. This sounds impossible, but the trick can be done quite easily. Simply light one match and immediately press the head of the Other against the burning head of the first. As soon as the second match flares up blow out the flame. The two burned heads will be welded together and they will stick in any position in which they are held. .Tack: I’ve an uncle who is a director in London. Bill: Of a well-known firm?
