SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent) The monthly meeting of the Maim in School Committee was held on Wednesday, those present being Messrs O. T. Parry (chairman), P. Instone. Rev. It. Miller, G. Butler, «J. Lawson, J 5. Illoor, J. Crompton, V. Adlam and J. Browning (headmaster). An apology for Kilby. The headmaster reported that the absence was received from Mr H. roll numbers of the primary and secondary departments were respectively 214 and 49 and the averages 201.5 and 45. Clarke asking the committee to accept a set of 21 volumes of “The Times” V.ar history for the secondary department. These were gratefully accepted and the secretary was instructed to forward a. letter of appreciation to the donor. A grant of C2 was passed for the encouragement of vocal training iu the secondary department and it was also decided to purchase a number of pictures. A letter is to bo written to the Town Board drawing attention to the water lying in the front and the back of the school and also to the pot holes on the road.
