Changing Modes From Autumn To Winter Season
CEASON melts so softly into season in our country that one is • seldom conscious where one ends and the other begins. And autumn is such a long, delightful season! That is undoubtedly why light-weight wool and silk suits when in fashion become 'almost °a fetish with smart women. They can wear them right up to the day when winter demands warmer clothing and newei styles. A variety of colourful blouses, scarves, with matching gloves and hat-bands make the same suit seem fresh and dirfeijentrfor. different occasions. In Paris, half the young things seen, between the hours of 12 and 2 p.m., when everyone is either lunching or promenading on the boulevards, have big tartan plaid bows tied under their chins and sailor hats tipped toward their noses. There is usually a matching plaid blouse. Next to the brightly coloured tartans come the grey and white tart an; pi aid silks, worn by girls who have more exclusive and reserved tastes. Tones of grey are going to be .just as smart for autumn ensembles and suits as they were for summer, by the way. and lots of vivid colours will liven up the accessories worn with them.
