CLIPPER’S RETURN TRIP.

HEAD WIND SLOWS SPEED.

The clipper plane, Pioneer, which flew from California to Honolulu last week, took off for California at 3.29 p.m.

A report front the clipper at 5 a.m. stated that a 36 miles an hour head wind had slowed the clipper’s speed to less''than 100 miles an hour. The plane "was 1393 miles from Honolulu and a storm was just breaking.

ARRIVAL IN CALIFORNIA. Received 1.15 p.m. to-day. ALAMEDA (Colifornia), April 23. The clipper aeroplane from Honolulu arrived at 2.58 a.m. Pacific standard time. .She was delayed by continuous head winds.
