Ibrashi Pasha, King Fuad’s personal adviser and director of the Royal estates, has resigned and left the court following representations by the Premier, Nissim, and the High Commissioner, Sir Miles Lampson. This is the climax to growing public
clamour aganst Ibrashi Pasha, who allegedly wielded enormous influence, in administrative affairs and was accused of virtually arrogating the royal authority and issuing arbitrary instructions to the Cabinet. The resignation has been received with immense relief and will leave the way open to the Cabinet .to reorganise the administration and curtail the activities of the Wafd, which is antimonarchial and as revolutionary as ever.
