Thefts of sheep from Wanganui farms are still prevalent. Every now and again losses are reported and it is fairly evident that) those responsible operate with lorries. A number of fat lambs was stolen in the Okoia. district not long ago, and a fanner who lives near Hunterville reports the loss of several hundred sliecp this season, many of them breeding ewes.
