S A Y WELL—SPR OULL

At Alanaia on the evening of April 2 the marriage took place of Mary Isabella (Mollie). second daughter of the late Air C. V. Sproull and Airs A. Sproull, Alanaia, to Alelville John third son of the late Air W. Say-well and Airs C. Say well, Argyle Street, Hawera. The ceremony took place at the residence of the bride’s mother, the officiating minister being the Rev. R. Millar, Alanaia. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle. Air W. PI. Sproull, Omoana, was attired in an ankle-length frock of parchment satin and lace ornamented with pearls. She wore the usual orange blossom and a beautiful hand-worked veil, lent by her cousin, Airs E. J. McGregor, Taupm, and carried a pretty posy of pale pink rose buds, light- autumn tinted zinnias, begonias and maidenhair fern with streamers of parchment ribbon. Miss Jean Sproull attended her sister as bridesmaid and wore a frock of wine silk velvet and lace and car ried a prfetty posy of autumn tinted gerheras, zinnias and maidenhair fein. ' The bridegroom was supported by Chas. Sproull as best man. The bride’s mother wore a navy frock and carried a posy of dark autumn shades. The posies were a gift from tiie bride’s aunt. Airs I. Collins, Hastings. Following the- ceremony a number of near relatives were entertained at the wedding breakfast, where a large twotier cake, made and decorated by the bride’s mother, held prule of place and was cut with usual ceremony. A number of toasts were honoured. The bride’s travelling attire was a chocolate brown costume with hat and shoes to tone.
